Professional Goals and 5 Year Plan
As a growing Golf Professional I plan to continue my education in various ways. There is always something I can be doing to improve myself and the operation. Using Trackman University and observing golf lessons from top teaching professionals in the New England Section and the Sea Island Golf Performance Center; I plan to continue to grow as a teacher. We as professionals are assumed to know everything there is to know about golf. I want to continue to learn as much as possible as the game is always changing. There is no greater teaching moment then when a new player gets "hooked" to the game!
I plan to become a better player over the next five years dedicating a large amount of my time practice and tournament golf. As Professionals we are, and should be capable of playing at a high level. Having put myself in competitive situations this past year I know my game has improved tremendously in the last 3 years but I know there is more I can improve on.
In regards to my career I want to continue to work at a Private Green Grass facility as an Assistant Golf Professional in New England. I will be doing some travel and working down in Georgia for the winter months a couple of seasons and work my way into a full time position in the Northeast. My ultimate goal is to continue to put in the hard work for the membership I am serving and ulimately become a Head Golf Professional. I love being around and working with other people, it just so happens that I was able to find that kind of career revolved around something I have a deep passion for.
